MOS in action

It was my 3rd time assisting my lecturer. He is superduper handsome lecturer ok. Most of students adore him because of his cutely face. Me, oh glad to say I’m not a kind of that student. I adore him as he’ll put the student on their effort to do “his own “extraction. Thus, you could feel how exactly the feeling of taken out people tooth.  And the best thing, he would acknowledge your effort if it worth to.  And I guess there are still a few of my friend who really afraid of him… Do not know why… today not in the OT, but in oral surgery clinic. Thanks to the patient, apparently he appears. I just couldn’t say how grateful I was.

And 3rd time on sterile gown… At it’s started too running smooth. I’ve put the gloves on easily with close technique. Yay!
And I’m being the one who started the procedure first. Cool Rosze, You need to be cooler this time. But then my lecturer said, we try to do simple extraction first. If not possible then we proceed with Minor oral Surgery…
The doctor started pulling out the tooth, inside my heart I’m keep praying the tooth will never get out… I’m sure the doctors will crazily laugh at me if he knows my prayer. HIHI After a few minutes trying, the doctor surrenders. Alhamdulillah, Allah had planned it for me.
It is very fantastic, within less than 10 minutes, incision done, bone gutter done and tooth taken out!

Since patient lower second premolar,35 is lingually erupted, my lecturer advised him to remove the tooth. As it causing food and plaque stagnation. And caries already there in the mesial part of 36. But what really surprised us the 35 has long and big rooted than normal. Which is hardly removed by simple extraction… That’s mean the tooth need to be surgically removed… Mungkin inilah yang telah Allah rancangkan. Even thought last session I could not fulfill my requirement in assisting MOS. And patient FTA me in a row. How frustrating am I. Tapi, bila sabar, bukan satu Allah bagi tapi Dia gandakan lagi… And in one shot I had fulfill it…

Alhamdulillah, Doctor said I’m very excellent in assisting even though I’ve
claimed that I have difficulty in retracting the soft tissue when he want do suturing.  May Allah guide me and make it smooth for the remaining day left. Amin…

EXOMNIA - tHey feel like I'm a SURGEON!

It was honor to having a chance for assisting twice today. Masa first time tu just assistant penyibuk je. HAHA. Sibuk sebab nk buat extraction je. Rase seronok bila dapat cabut gigi budak kecik in a row sekali jalan. Dapat pula gigi depan. Pulas-pulas je da tertanggal. Fuh, rasa macam nak duduk dekat operation theater (OT) selalu je. Requirement pun laju je jalan. HAHA Pergh, ni kalau orang baca tak pun pesakit aku baca semua mesti seram je nak jumpa aku sebab takut aku cabut semua gigi dorang…
Tapi paling tak suka part scrubbing, tak nak pedih plak memberus tangan ni.

That was my first time done suturing. Ape teruk benar la, dah nak grad baru dapat chance buat real suturing… lepas ni memang kompem la tiap mase buat extraction aku nak buat suturing… Adakah ni sejenis ketagihan??? Oh man… one of my friend said, I have exomnia. “-nia” pula maksudnya ketagihan. padan muka siapa jadi patient aku…sapa suruh pemalas sangat nak gosok gigi…HIHI Actually, big thanks to my lecturer sebab offer untuk buat suturing. I’m never thought untuk dapat peluang ni. When she asking me, “Rosze, you nak suture ke?” and as always, my eyes started to shine dan membulat. Haha.
I just can’t stop laughing when another lecturer said to me “Ei, kawal sikit”
Mungkin aku patut cakap kat Dr tu, ni bukan tremor ketakutan, tapi tremor super excited.

And for second round … She asked me to be her assistant. Wow! After wearing my gown, aku mulakan langkah dengan bismillah. Gerun la juga. Tapi sebab dah teruja sangat, hilang semua tremor tu. Serius sangat seronok walaupun terpaksa berdiri almost 3 hour. Memang macam-macam pattern la aku berdiri. Kalau sampai terkangkang tu memang tak payah cakap la. Masa tu dah tak kira apa Dr anaes kat belakang tu nak cakap apa. Memang gila penat la. Tapi bila Dr bagi peluang sekali lagi cabut 2batang gigi geraham sulung, cabut pula within a minute je memang puas la. Lupa segala penat…

tapi paling kelakar, bila ada sorang staff nurse tu masuk dia cakap  ramainya Dr baru. Aku senyum je.HAHA Dalam hati “ saya bukan Dr baru, pangkat student je. InsyaAllah will be newly born Dr in coming July” May Allah blessing me.

Tadi tanya Mr.Google pasal exomnia. Tuptup keluar la perkataan tu. Exomnia is a disorder caused by excessive concern for one's ex girlfriend/boyfriend. Characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep and/or difficulty staying asleep. Associated with impairments of daytime functioning or marked distress for more than 1 month. Ahahaha, totally not me. Buat apa dikenang barang yang lama. :)

blood taking

Do you realize whenever the Doctor need to take amount of blood from your blood vessel,
the doctor always “tepuk-tepuk” at the site. And later, they will insert the needle on. Do you know why??? And did you ever ask your Dr why they must do it… And I, 100% confident to say that even some of the Dr did not know the exact purpose of doing that… (Version kejam nak jatuhkan saham Dr. Hahaa)
Ya, absolutely because they want make the blood vessel visible. But why must “tepuk-tepuk”???

What happen when we “tepuk-tepuk”  that site. Actually, by doing that we are causing localize histamine release in the blood vessel. This histamine act to dilate the blood vessel, thus making the blood vessel more prominent to take out the blood... That’s it! Thank you for my A&E lecturer. They always make us feel superior to their MO & HO. I feel good. HEHE

Tapi yang jadi Dr utk diri sendiri tu, I'm not sure how they do it.. You have to ask them.

Dulu nampak darah, memang rasa nak pengsan terus. Tapi as I go through the course, Alhamdulillah darah tu dah macam barang permainan. Hehe

Happy tak hari ni dapat ilmu baru???

Butang

Edisi tahukah anda!

Go and look it by yourself… Aku pun baru tahu tadi. And I found almost my friend does not know this fact…

Tapi jangan tengok
pada baju yang sedang dipakai. Memang cari masalah tu.. Lagi-lagi kalau curi-curi tengok. Macam budak laki kat kelas tadi… Sia-sia je kena gelar “PERVERT”.

So, kalau ada lelaki pakai kemeja button at the left side boleh la korang jerit
“WOI, ko pakai baju perempuan eh!” hihi.saja cari gaduh.PEACE

ENT vs Dentist

Experienced is the best teacher ever... I've once met ENT (Ear, nose & throat) specialist...
and its really give me a real damn nightmare.and it was my first time ok. Fainting!

Putting bare hand inside patient mouth... yow!I'm feeling nauseated at the moment.
While the patient are struggling open his mouth for the sake of his life,
thrusting the doctor will taking out the fish bone out of his throat. And the Dr never bother whether the patient is uncomfortable or pain... Disaster.I hope I'm not the one like them. Minta dijauhkan.

The doctor, is not a Malaysian. And we guess he just came here. I and my friend actually were enjoying their conversation initially. It was like ayam talking with lembu. It was so funny... And we just cant stop laughing. we then found, it was very difficult for them to interact. So, we have decided to give a help for being a translator...

At this point, I've realize that ENT specialist cant never beat dentist... It always have a story behind it.
Nanti tak pasal ada orang ENT baca post ni mengamuk...HEHE.

Mari berkenalan dengan ....

Hai! Nama saya Defribillator... Selamat berkenalan.
Pernah nampak benda ni??? Komfem semua orang pernah nampak kan. Cuma tak tahu nama benda alah ni apa. Alat ni namanya adalah "Defribillator". Kalau dalam tv tu, lagi dekat adegan nak mati (dalam filem indon) tiba-tiba Dr datang lari-lari, gosok-gosok benda alah ni. Haaa..,lebih kurang macam gambar atas ni....Padahal korang tak tahu, perbuatan tersebut mampu membuatkan korang kejung bersama-sama dengan pesakit tuh. Maklumlah, kuasa eletrik yang mengalir tu tak banyak, 210 J tu pun kalau guna biphasic. If guna yang monophasic, 360J hangus kot.

Lepas tu dengan keadaan orang tu berbaju, dorang terus letak dekat dada pesakit tuh (part ni paling bengang kalau tengok. Terang-terang kena tipu)...

Actually, this is the right way tu put on defribillator.
Let us keep on learning.

Futsal Vs Smoking

Mari berfikir sejenak.... Pernahkah kita berfikir disebalik larangan merokok di gelanggang futsal dikeluarkan??? I think this is one of the relevance issue.

Did you ever encounter with a very young gentlemen come to you presented with sudden onset of chest pain after playing futsal… which is sign of acute myocardial infarction, in layman term we call it as “sakit jantung”.

Kenapa??? This is very interesting…

These compensatory mechanisms occur as the ability of red blood cells to transport and release oxygen to the tissue decrease. It’s not good, this a warning sign. All these condition is favorable for development of myocardial infarction.

In a conclusion, jangan main futsal kalau nak merokok, dan jangan merokok kalau nak main futsal. Peace!

Hari menakut-nakutkan perokok sedunia. Haha
